I have been collaborating for several months with my friend Bex at Happy Little Flame to come up with something magical to add to your inspirational toolkit. Meet the Beyond The Wings Signature Intention Candle Line! I am so excited to share these creations with you!
The intention candles are Reiki infused and meant to support the energy you wish to embody in this physical world. Intentions influence creation. As Lee Harris once said, “Creation is angelic energy in form.” You can set intentions on the macroscale for your life and how you influence the world. You can also set intentions to support your day or moment. Intentions guide your experience and impact your emotional wellbeing. They are also precursors to letting the Divine take the steering wheel, while you are the passenger. It does not mean that we do not take inspired action steps. It merely means that you know the Divine experiencing life as you have a vision as to how you see and experience life. For example, if you have the intention to feel happiness in your life overall. The Divine will bring you experiences that have you follow and see certain guideposts that you may not have considered before.
I have learned a great deal about the candle industry these past few months. Bex is a fantastic entrepreneur and author. I was introduced to her years ago by my sister; during that time, Bex owned a retail shop – she is not new to sharing her visions with the world!
While the candles are manufactured by Happy Little Flame, please know that I was very involved in the development process. Can you say prototypes? I had specific ideas that I wanted to see come to fruition, but after trial and error, and of course research, the candles are better than I imagined!
I have had a vision of creating intention candles for years. I needed to work with someone passionate and transparent in their business practices, but who also does continuous product research. Checking in with suppliers regularly to ensure no changes have been made to ingredients is critical and has been part of the organizational blueprint of Happy Little Flame. I got the nudge to develop the candles in the Spring, and I am so happy to have worked with Bex. We will be creating many more!
The candles are hand-poured in small batches, ensuring high-quality products. The candles are vegan, made with 100% natural soy and coconut wax. The wicks are made from 100% natural cotton. Also, the candles are free of additives, phthalates and dyes.
The candles are scented; thus, they are not 100% natural. I learned from Bex that “the only fragrance oils that are indeed all natural are certain plant-derived/essential oils. However, while incredible for beauty and some health purposes, these oils are not formulated for burning in candles. Many consumers are under the impression that candles made with essential oils will provide them with the health benefits found in the natural properties. But unfortunately, that is not the case. These natural properties actually evaporate once they hit a specific temperature, rendering them ineffective. Furthermore, in order to achieve any sort of fragrance with essential oils in candles, you either need to use an absurd amount of oils (making them environmentally unsustainable, very expensive, and even harmful to your health), or the essential oils would have to be mixed with fragrance oils that have been formulated for candles. Can you guess which option I chose? Most of our fragrance oils have a nature-derived base, or they are infused with essential oils. But the key here is that they are made for candles.”
The fragrances used in the candles come from a high-quality manufacturer. The amount of fragrance load going into each candle is substantially less than what’s traditionally on the market. They are an alternative to conventional candles and do lower the negative footprint on the planet.
