Our candles have a 85-95 hour burn time.  Our candles are vegan and made with a custom blend of 100% natural coconut wax and soy wax, 100% natural cotton wicks, and high quality fragrance & essential oils.  All of our products are 100% additive, phthalate, and dye free! Our jars are reusable and packaging peanuts used in shipping are biodegradable.

+ What sets Beyond the Wings Signature Intentional Candle Line apart?

Every single candle is infused with reiki and hand-poured in small batches with 100% natural soy and coconut wax. Unlike candles from paraffin, my soy candles burn cleaner and last longer. Best of all, they’re free from additives, phthalates and dyes...which means they’re better for the environment – and most importantly you!

+ Are soy candles safe for people with soy allergies?

Soy wax is non-reactive and even though someone may be allergic to soy in foods, it’s the digestive proteins that actually triggers the allergy, not the byproducts of the combustion. In other words, since you’re burning the candle instead of consuming it, the protein chains are broken up and are no longer the same molecules that would cause the allergy.

+ Do you have an intention mantra to go with each candle?

Yes, each candle has a mantra printed right on the jar (e.g. “I am ready to envelop myself with love.” is the mantra for the Embrace candle. Simply, say the mantra in your mind or outload as you’re getting ready to light the candle and set your intention.

+ How do I know which reiki infused candle is right for me?

Always trust your intuition. However, if you find yourself having a hard time deciding, ask yourself what energy you want to embody in the physical world. For example, if you want to feel more happiness in your life overall, the ‘VITALITY – I am ready to feel joyous and uplifted’ would make a great choice. Meanwhile, if you’re in a place in your life that’s calling you to slow down, the ‘SERENE – I am ready to embrace stillness’ might be more fitting.

+ What's the best time to light a candle to set my intention?

The best time to light a candle to set your intention is when it’s truly the most convenient for you. Some prefer to set their intention in the morning as they get ready for the day, while others treat it more like an evening ritual. My favorite answer? Do whatever feels good for you.

+ What are some ways I can get the most use out of my candle?

Always trim your wick using a wick trimmer or scissors. Trim the wick 1/4 inches long prior to lighting your candle each time. The first burn is everything — make sure the top of your candle has completely melted before you blow it out. Once you’ve got an even first burn, keep a close eye on when to trim your wick. If your candle has black smoke when it’s lit, it’s a good indicator to trim the wick.

+ Can the jars from your candles be repurposed?

Yes! The best time to repurpose the jar from your candle is when only ¼ inch of wax remains. You can either chip along the wick after you’ve placed your candle in the freezer and the wax has hardened or toss it in the oven for the wax to liquify. After disposing of the wax, use soap and water to remove any remaining waxy residue and then fill your jar with pens, loose change, cotton balls, succulents (my favorite) or just recycle.

+ Can I send a candle as a gift?

Of course! If you would like a personal note included with your candle gift, just let me know what message you’d like added at checkout and I’ll take care of the rest.

+ Can I buy your products at wholesale or sell them in my store/online shop?

Unfortunately, not at this time.

+ Where do you get your materials from?

All materials are sourced from Happy Little Flame, a family owned clean candle company right here in the U.S.

+ How quickly can I get my order?

All domestic orders take 1-3 business days to process or up to 10 days for wholesale orders (excluding major holidays and weekends). Once shipped, you can expect to have your candle(s) in hand within 3 business days. However, if there’s any delay, I’ll be sure to let you know.

+ How can I track my order?

Once your order is fulfilled, you’ll receive an email with a USPS tracking number to track the status of your order every step of the way.

+ Do you offer exchanges or returns?

Of course! If you received the wrong item or your item was damaged when it arrived, please let me know by sending a note to info@beyondthewings.com within 48 hours to get a full refund or exchange approved. To complete your return or exchange, simply send back the item with a copy of your receipt as proof of purchase to the following address:

Once your returned item has been received and reviewed, you’ll receive an email notifying you that your returned item has been received on my end. You’ll also be notified via email whether your refund or exchange has been approved or rejected. If your refund or exchange is approved, a credit will be automatically applied to the credit card or original method of payment within several days of approval. Please note, your return or refund may take up to 10 business days to process.

+ What’s the safest way to burn your candle?

+ How do I clean up wax spill?

If you catch the spill right when it happens, blot up as much of a fresh candle wax drip as possible with paper towels and wait for the wax to cool of completely before attempting to remove it. Next, scrape off the wax from surfaces other than wood, using a butter knife or the edge of a credit card. Lay a paper towel on top of the remaining wax and use a blow dryer to warm the wax after you've pressed the towel on it. Wipe the surface clean and sponge any oily stains with a 50/50 vinegar and water mixture.

+ Why does my candle look a bit frosty?

Don’t worry…frosting is actually how you know your handle is made with pure, all-natural soy wax, and it by no means impacts the scent or burning properties of your candle.

+ Why is my white candle starting to turn yellow?

Because there are no additives or stabilizers in my candles, it is perfectly natural for candles to turn colors when left exposed to direct or indirect light, and/or extreme temperatures.

+ Why does it look like there are wet spots on my candle?

What looks like wet spots are actually just air pockets that are caused by shrinkage that occurs as the wax is cooling inside the jar.

+ Why isn’t my candle lighting anymore?

It’s important to keep wicks trimmed to 1/4 inches or less and free of black char to keep your candle burning properly. To prevent your candle from not lighting, simply break or scrape off the char and discard it before each burn.
